On the afternoon of January 14th, Henan Civil Aviation Development and Investment Co.,Ltd (hereinafter referred to as HNCA) acquired the equity of Cargolux Airlines International (hereinafter referred to as CV), and business corporation signing ceremony held in Zhengzhou. This marks that the world-class all cargo airline based company officially settled down in Zhengzhou Airport Economic Comprehensive experimental area. The corporation has set up “the air of Silk Road”, which establish the connection between China and Europe, and add new heights for the opening up in Henan Province.

According to the agreement, HNCA will invest $216.25 million in acquiring Cargolux’s 35% stakes, and will set up the "double hub development fund" in Zhengzhou. The special fund is for “Zhengzhou-Luxembourg double hub” strategy mode construction and Zhengzhou air cargo market cultivating. After acquiring shares, HNCA will set up Zhengzhou - Luxembourg freight routes. At the beginning, there will be four scheduled flights per week. Later, based on the market development degree and the Zhengzhou hub construction speed, Cargolux will gradually increase the freight capacity and flights density, to build a global air freight network, with the Asia-Pacific logistics center in Zhengzhou and U.S. - European logistics center in Luxembourg. In the future, HNCA will promote in-depth cooperation with Luxembourg government and Cargolux on ground operation, warehousing distribution, cold chain logistics operation, aircraft maintenance and flight training, striving to enhance logistics service level, and achieve high-end industrial agglomeration.

HNCA was established on August 29, 2011, with registered capital RMB 6 billion, mainly responsible for accelerating the development of Henan civil aviation industry, participating in both domestic and international aviation companies restructure and cooperation, leading the mission of developing Zhengzhou airport comprehensive economic development zone.
